DL320 G3 Slow to Access Data Partition
Hello,
I have a DL320 G3 running Windows 2000 SP4 with the latest security updates applied. The server has 2 80GB drives installed which are mirrored using the on-board RAID.
When I access the data partition(largest of two) through Windows Explorer on that machine I experience a significant delay before the contents are presented to me.
When accessing the system partition this delay does not occur.
If I am accessing the data partition from another server through a drive mapped to the admin share I do not have the delay.
There are no errors in the event log which yield any clues as to what might be the cause of this.
Does anyone know why this is occurring and what might be done to resolve this?
Many Thanks In Advance,
Mike

Re: DL320 G3 Slow to Access Data Partition
Hi Mike,
WE can try to update the controller firmware and Update the BIOS of the server then check. By running ADU on server and see is there are significant change in performace.
Regards,
Prashant S.
