DL320 G4 is unknown under HP Management Homepage.

I have installed Win2003 Enterprise R2 on Dl320 G4 with onboard-Apdtec raid controller. And smartCD 7.91 was used to install driver on the model. Everything is fine but HP management homepage shows the server model is unknown. And many server information can not be confirmed under HP Management Homepage. IT just shows me no
failed item under the server. I wonder the reason for that. SmartCD verion is low?

Install again following this order:

1. First WBEM, download the one that you need depending on you OS x32 or x64 bit:

it sounds like your snmp is incorrectly configured. reconfigure like this
-under traps, specify your sim server, or localhost if you don't have one and public as your snmp community name (unless you have one)
-under security, specify community names (if you have one or many) or public if none.
then under accept snmp packets from these hosts, specify "localhost" w/o the quotes and your sim server if you have one.

that should make your model and details show up properly.

Yes, that's why I recommend WBEM. SNMP works, but the he needs a windows CD to install it and then configure it. It easier to download an executable run it and that's it, there is no configuration required as simple as double click. After that you need to run the insight agents again becuase they need to fall over the WBEM or SNMP.

Check document attached if you want to install and configure SNMP instead of WBEM.
