DL320 G5 SAS/SATA BP - Cable Option Kit LED Connector

Hi,

In relation to a DL320 G5, I am installing the optional SAS cable kit to the included SAS backplane, but I have come across a design problem with the cable kit. The installation of the SATA connectors is easy, but the LED connector (as noted by the manual) can be connected to the backplane in in different positions. For example, the backplane has a missing pin on the male-pin connector, but the cable kit doesn't include a notch on the female connector, therefore it's possible to install the connector both ways round.

Can someone please advise which way round the cable should go as I don't fancy killing something by installing the connector the wrong way round!

The manual included just includes "connect LED cable to backplane" but doesn't say which way round - it seems the connector (female part, on the cable kit) is missing the notch that stops the user putting the connector the wrong way round - woops!

The Cable can be plugged either ways. This is not a design flaw.

Is the LED connector a 10-pin female connection??
