intel 82801gr sata card not compatible with ADU on smart start. what should be used?

Instead of Creating and ISO image you also can just start the manual installation from the OS CD and then load the drivers with a usb floppy. The drivers can be extracted from the SS CD or downloaded from hp.com

The Array Diagnostic Utilty (ADU) is for use with Smart Array controllers. The embedded SATA Raid controller is not a Smart Array controller.

I don't know of an ADU type utility for this controller. There is a command line tool that can be used for configuration, and it will also show status of the controller.

Look at the bottom of the DL320 G5 driver page for the OS your using.

The utility is called "HP Embedded G5 SATA RAID Controller Command Line Interface"

thanks, I am aware for the creation of the array but was looking fro ADU or utility to gather logs on the array status and any possible issues. thanks for the information.
