DL320 G5p w/Windows Server 2008

I am trying to install Server 2008 onto a new HP DL320 G5p. The driver HP has listed on its site is not the correct driver. I did select the driver for Server 2003 CP008694.

Steps:
Enabled SATA RAID in BIOS
Configured RAID in F8 utility, set to bootable.
Booted to Server 20008 DVD
Selected driver from floppy disk
Formatted partitions
Installed Server 2008

During the install, setup lets you know that the server will reboot several times during installation. However, after installation and the first reboot, the server simply goes into an endless reboot cycle, never making it past the Windows splash screen.

I have tried calling HP support, but they have been unable to assist. I can install Server 2003 successfully, but not Server 2008

Ideas ??

hi

yes CP008694 is only for W2003 but for W2008 is

CP008697
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3579703&swItem=MTX-0dbf82cb9fd24c929b6bdb4da7&prodNameId=3579737&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=5

if you see revision history there is a kinda confusion the driver that is listed as the latest is not the latest

see
Version: 1.4.17010.0 latest
one I provide you Version: 1.4.17015.0

1.4.17015.0 > 1.4.17010.0

conclusion 1.4.17015.0 is the latest

regards
Didn't your momma teach you to say thanks!

You need to change the boot order of your devices. There is a bug in windows where if the USB drive's boot priority is greater than the hard drive or raid, then it will screw up. Make the HD the first bootable device and then try it.
