DL320 Windows 2000 Installation Problem
I am trying to install Windows 2000 (either Advanced Server or just Server) onto a DL320 with 2Gig of RAM. It just hangs during the phase to detect plug and play devices during the Windows 2000 installation. Anyone have any ideas? I've upgraded the ROM to the latest version already, still no go. Also tried removing half of the memory, thinking it was a 2Gig memory problem, still nothing.

Re: DL320 Windows 2000 Installation Problem
Hello Steve,
Are you using the burnt copy of software?? If you are then that could be the problem as well. Try using the original cds pl. What is the configuration of your server??

Re: DL320 Windows 2000 Installation Problem
It is not a burnt copy of the cd, it is the original. And again, I've tried both regular Server and Advanced Server. It does the same on both. Oh and I use the Smartstart 5.50 cd to boot the whole process, and I've done System Erase several times.
