DL320 falls off network after couple of days
We have just installed a DL320 with Windows Server 2003 Standard and we are having a strange network problem. The server boots fine and has network connectivity, but after a few days it just falls off of the network. Restarting the network does nothing, the only fix is to reboot the server and then it works again for a few more days. opening the network connection it shows many billions of packets being constantly sent. This server has not had any software loaded on it yet. Does this sound like hardware or software.
Regards,
Chris

Re: DL320 falls off network after couple of days
is this server a domain-mamner ?
if so it might be policies wich try to push several things to the system.
Maybe the server reuses an ip-adres previously used by antoher?
you could try to open a command box and use "netstat" to determine wich devices try to make connection to this server.
note wich ip-adress/ports are used and link these to nodes on your network.
