Also, can I find information about the server by using the serial number? Check me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember there was a time you could key in the serial number and find out the specifications for that particular machine? How can you find out information such a the type of motherboard, the socket type on the motherboard, etc.

you can search by your serial but HP does not have a page that says what you got in your server configuration it only specifies warranty information
