DL320G4: embedded storage controller does not see SATA HDD

We have a new DL320G4 server with two SATA non-hot-plug HDD. One of them is Seagate STxxxx, and the other is Maxtor SABRE. When embedded RAID is disabled the server shows on POST screen that both HDDs are present. But Maxtor HDD is not displayed in RBSU when we try to create RAID group. What's wrong?

Could you provide the model number of these hard drives ? or any other details

First HDD is Seagate ST3808110AS (SATA II). Second HDD is Maxtor DiamondMax 10 (6L080M0, SATA I).

A couple of questions for you
1) please ensure if you are using the SATA controller bios to configure RAID
2) Do the hard drive get detected one at a time
3)Do you get any amber LED on the hard drive at the stage when the second hard drive doesn't get detected

Experiments shows that Maxtor HDD is not recognized by embedded BIOS SATA controller even when Seagate HDD is absent. It seems that the drive itself is malfunctioning. We initiated replacement procedure.
