DL320e NMI parity error

Ok HP Gurus.

New Servers as per above. Document included mentions the NMI Parity error issue on shutdown for W2K8R2 or W7. MS link to kb2845432 also states the same.

Says to edit registry etc etc. No problem, IF someone could tell me which version of the AHCI these are running or how to find out??

two versions:

8C02

8C03

Both have different reg binary entry requirements. Which one, or should I just create both and call it a day.

Tks

Hi,

Good Question, have you tried to looking into the Device Manager and or while installing Chipset Drivers?

Look into the attachments in this post.

Thank You!

Re: DL320e NMI parity error

Yes...I also looked in Device Manager. Perhaps, because my server is running the B120i Raid Controller, that the IDE AHCI Driver is not loaded, and therefore the reg hack, NOT required....in my case.

I am not going to worry about this, as it does seem my servers do shutdown normally and do not experience this NMI Parity error when I do so.

However, I will keep a close watch on it too.

Tks
