DL350 MB replacement assigns new NIC3 & NIC4

After MB replacement on the server, the OS assigned two new NIC numbers to the onboard ones. On bootup, the event browser shows the old NIC1 & NIC2 as not present. They're not visable in Windows Network and they don't show in the BIOS. I've tried booting to safe mode to see if they're in the device manager. Fortunately the server appears to work okay, except for the errors after boot. Any help would be appreciated.

Or just locate in the registries where the older NICs were and delete them manually. I solved such an issue @ home some time ago.

The MicroSoft solution took care of the issue. This particular server is W2003 and the MS solution is for W2000, but it still worked. I did look in the Registry, but was afraid to mess with it... Hat's off to all who replied... Pete
