DL360 Drive mirror

Hello, have new DL360 G3 with 2003 server installed on single drive. Adding a second drive and wonder if I can simply mirror it using ACU utilities or if creating mirror will wipe out contents of disk and require me to reinstall OS? Any other options? Thank you

If you create mirror from array controller, you use all data on disk. Use mirror from OS or backup all data, create array/logical disk and restore oprating system.

If you launch ACU and you see ARRAY A with one physical Drive (one Logical drive)
All what you have to do:
1. Highlight Array A and Expand is: add New Drive in
2. Highlight logical drive and Extend with Unused space migrate at same time from RAID 0 to 0 + 1.
3. Save and Exit
4. You at Mirrored Set.

Yes Don in DL360 G3 you have 5i controller by default, and all configuration & O/S load can be done only if you create Array, what you have right now is Array A with Single logical drive. Hardware intelligent enough to not destroy your data and make mirror to second drive, main point is to keep Firmware up to date

Update latest Firmware for 5i controller
Update ACU to latest

Firmware CD 7.30 can be used for all HW firmware Updates and PSP 7.30 for SW
