DL360 G1 - PCI slots

Hi Folks
1st post and hopefully this is a silly question....

I have a DL360 G1 which has 2x PCI slots 1x 32bit and 1x 64 bit. The 32 bit slot is already occupied by a Lights out card. I want to add a second 32 bit card (USB card) assuming the notches are in the correct place and the card physically fits the slot will the card work?

All comment/suggestion/opinion welsome.

Re: DL360 G1 - PCI slots

The card will work as 64 bit PCI slot has backward compatibility to 32 bit PCI card.

For information:
The rules that govern the usage of PCI cards are as follows:
â ¢ 66MHz PCI cards can be used on a 33MHz PCI bus.
â ¢ A 33MHz card in a 66MHz PCI bus automatically operates at 33MHz.
â ¢ 32-bit PCI cards can be installed in a 64-bit PCI slot.
â ¢ 64-bit cards can be installed in a 32-bit slot and will work in 32-bit mode.

Actually the card is going to work, but is not going to work as 64bit as previous person said becuase it is a 32bit card. It is true, you can install 32bit cards in a 64bit pci slot (32-bit PCI cards can be installed in a 64-bit PCI slot), but is going to work as a 32bit card, because that the speed of the card is going to slow down the bus speed on the system board.
