There is a DL360 G1 server with 1x1GHz processor. It's work fine, everything is ok. But if I upgrade with a second processor, it wouldn't work. If I try to turn on the server, there is no screen, no error message, no harddisk spin up.
I try to change the order of processors, I try several processor, but the problem is same.
Could somebody help me? Thanks

Re: DL360 G1 processor update problem
1. The System ROM is the latest what I found.
2. The processors are same type (and same series).
The OS is debian linux but i think it isn't important because the server don't boot with 2 processors only with one.
If I turn on it seems reboot cyclical (the DVD-ROM led flash periodical).
Thanks

Re: DL360 G1 processor update problem
I tried to clean NVRAM, and tried to reflash, but it doesn't help.
Any other idea?
Thanks

Re: DL360 G1 processor update problem
1.What else did you get with the 2nd processor?
2.Does the 2nd processor work in 1st processor slot?

Re: DL360 G1 processor update problem
I have 3 processors with same type from same series.
I tried all of them in processor 1 slot, and work very well.
If I put a processor to processor 2 slot, the server doesn't work. If I turn on the server in this case, the screen is blank, there isn't any error message, only the power on led lights. No memory check, no processor check, etc.
