DL360 G3 with 2008 32bit Std
tried 2008 32bit installing from either an upgrade from 2003sp1 or fresh install of 2008 std 32bit VL with insight mgr 8.0 or 7.9 and I get the same results both times. the system boots up then cannot access the desktop either because the wrong video driver is loaded or the resolution is set to high for the attached monitor or kvm...have not tried accessing via ilo. cannot not access remote desktop from xp sp2 RDP. also in both cases the server hangs right a crcdisk.sys on safeboot and never goes into safeboot.
any ideas on getting around this?

Re: DL360 G3 with 2008 32bit Std
It seems like Windows server 2008 32bit is not a recommend Operating System for the Proliant DL360 G3. There might not be HP Drivers for this OS.

Re: DL360 G3 with 2008 32bit Std
The new Smartstart 8.0 includes the option to install the Windows Server 2008 family. I do not have a DVDROM in my DL380 G3 for the Server 2008 DVD.
I tried to use a USB key (FAT32 format) with the install files copied off the DVD to it. I can see the USB key and SmartStart is prompting me to browse to the installation directory?
In W2K3 I would of pointed it to i386 but I am no luck when pointing it to any directory on the usb key with the 2008 OS install files????? I guess I will copy the ISO image to the USB key and see if that works?
