DL360 G4 Memory issue with Windows 2000 Server

I have recently received a DL360 G4 with 4 gigs of memory (PN # 358349-B21). When the system boots the hardware detects all 4 gigs of RAM but when windows comes up it only shows 3.5 Gigs. I am running Win 2K Server standard and have added the /PAE switch to the boot.ini and I see that the Physcial Address Extension is set under the system properties.

Hi,

PAE not supported on standard edition, oly on advanced or datacenter. Also for Win2K3, the standard version is unsupported!

I have upgraded to the latest system ROM (P52) and I am still running into the issue. I tried using the online and offline utility to see if either made a difference. Is this known as a guranteed fix?

"PAE is only supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition, and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition"
Therefore, with win2k standard and G4 server (your case) you will never see 4 GB.
