DL360 G4 POST error 1798

I just had a load of warranty work done on my DL360, and it seems that I have another problem. When I boot up the server, i get a POST error 1798 Array Accelerator Self-Test Error Occurred - Array Accelerator disabled message.

I am able to install an operating system and use the server as normal, it is not deployed in a production environment at the moment, so it's hard to tell whether performance is degraded.

Any help would be appreciated, not really sure what to do next.

Thanks!

hi Lee

is that for the 6i controller? or any other?

can you upload a Array diagnostic utility report(ADU)?

Re: DL360 G4 POST error 1798

well anyway

if the controller has an cache accelerator or BBWC, try these:

- power off server
- remove all HDDs
- power on server wait until controller is initialized in POST
- power off server
- return HDDs (same position)
- check message again if continues read below

--------------------

- power off server
- remove BBWC
- power on server and check if message is back if not BBWC is bad.
- but before replace the part put it back again since if the BBWC was not properly seated the message can go away too

Re: DL360 G4 POST error 1798

Karlo,

I did as suggested, and it still did the same thing.

Anything else you can think of? The BBWC should be brand new as should the battery. Taking both out of the equation doesn't change anything.

Re: DL360 G4 POST error 1798

Sharma Sanjeev,

I see that I need to 're-enable the array accelerator'. Any idea on how to do this?
