DL360 G4 SmartStart/Firmware cdrom hangs !

I have a DL360 G4 with linux, I want to install server 2008/2003 on int I have tried SmartStart (almost all versions x86/64)

but with all It hangs when it's booting and it displays a message "smartstart: disk error".

I also tried to update the bios with the Firmware cdrom but the same error.

It loads the cdrom and when reading the cdrom...xx%...it displays the error message.

I also reset the bios to default.

I'm fighting for 3 weeks but nothing, any help?

SmartStart v8.30 is the last version shown for that system on the support page.  There is a possibility that there is something wrong with the rom drive itself.  Have you attempted to just boot the OS media and install without SmartStart?

To rule out a problem with the CD, use the usbkey utility and create a bootable USB drive based on that ISO.

I can't recall if this system supports booting from a USB key

Should I Update firmware (bios...) FIRST or just use smartstart?
