DL360 G4 has intermittent graphics

DL360 G4 has intermittent graphics

I have an HP x20LED connected to the onboard graphics.  The server boots up.  Sometimes there is a signal to the monitor, most of the time there is not. 

 

I have tried clearing the NVRAM

Any ideas what is causing this problem?

 

I just bought this server, it arrived last night.  It should all be in working order.  Any ideas would be much appreciated

Just to add:

 

I have been researching this problem and I see that I am not the only one.  I have found several posts with similar issues but have still not nailed down what my problem is.

 

I have reset the NVRAM several times

I have tried switching the CPU's and removing one

I tried reseating the backplane and DIMMs

there are no amber lights on the board
