DL360 G4P Drive Error Light is Erroneously On?
Hello, I have a DL360 G4P that has a drive error light enabled. I replaced the drive with a new drive, and the array shows OK and rebuilt happily. Yet, the drive error light is still on (slot 0, Left hand side slot).
I/O appears to be working just fine too. Does this error light mean there is something amiss with the backplane? Is there a way to find out what the hardware error really is?
Thanks

Re: DL360 G4P Drive Error Light is Erroneously On?
i attached the ILOM and found no errors. In the BIOS I looked at the error logs and nothing. Entered the maintenance menu and found no errors either. The system thinks it's just fine.
I replaced the SCSI backplane with a new one. Same problem.
Do I need to update the firmware on the drives?? I tried a 76gb and a 146gb drive in there and got the same results.
Any ideas??
