The SmartStart displays a screen that says you should only install from the Windows 2003 SP1 slipstream CD.

The application this machine is going to support does not runs under SP1. Is this machine genuinely going to crash if I do not install SP1?

It is recomanded to use Windows 2003SP1.
You can use Windows 2003 but this may result in any OS bugs.

1.See if you can continue installation with the Windows 2003 Base Media.
2.If installation is successful,update the port driver (STORPORT.SYS).
