DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
I installed SNMP Service.
I configure it via registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP\Parameters
I installed support pack version 8.0.
I can't connect to System Management Home-page.
I try https://server_name:2381
I add a firewall rule, but I can't connect.
Regards,
Luca Passioni

Re: DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
Try the IP address of the server instead of the Server name.
I have seen issues in resolving the server name.

Re: DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
I already try with IP address.
HP System Management is supported on server core installation?

Re: DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
I can't try locally, it's a server core installation without internet explorer.
I tried from another computer.
The error is page not displayed.
Yes, SNMP traps is configured properly.
I attach netstat and tasklist screenshot.

Re: DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
Are you sure the firewall rule you added is passing through port 2381 properly? You can probably test it out better by disabling the firewall entirely while you test it, then if it works, you know it's just a firewall rule you need to modify.
Messing around with the firewall on a Core install can be tricky. I usually allow remote firewall management and use a non-Core system to remotely manage the firewall using the GUI. Trying to do advanced firewall controls from the Core command line can get strange fast.

Re: DL360 G5 and System Management Home-page
Luca
well that was in a test server but
I installed a Core no Smartstart CD so I had to installed SNMP manually, configured it and since that server did not have network I installed Firefox and it work so it worked locally which means It was fine
I am going to try to test ip from another PC tomorrow
I just installed W2008 Core I did not touch any security setting like firewall
so as Aaron says check firewall rule or test internally with Firefox or any other browser
