DL360 G5 and X5450 Processor compatability?

Hello and thanks for reading.

I have an HP DL360 G5 which we are looking to upgrade with two Quad-Core processors (3.0ghz - part number 462858-B21). However after flashing BIOS to most current level we only boot to "Unsupported Processor".

From this link (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12476_div/12476_div.html) it looks like we are using the proper processor. I have read on these forums however that there may be multiple revisions of system boards. Our system board is Part number 399554-001

Can anyone tell me what is needed to get this processor working? If a link is avail it would be appreciated.

that's the issue

your system Board 399554-001 only supports Dual Core Processors

you need 436066-001 (b) System board with processor cage supporting Intel® Xeon®
52xx, 53xx, and 54xx processors* ) to support those Procs
