DL360 G5 incompatible with QLogic QLA4050C iSCSI HBA

I am having no success getting this iSCSI HBA to work in a DL360 G5.

What is the procedure to request a server BIOS update to support this hardware?

Ctrl-Q to access the QLogic BIOS config at boot causes the server to reboot. Installing the Windows driver causes the O/S to experience a System Halt.

All of our G4 servers are coming off warranty and now I have no viable upgrade path.

Yes, first step was to call HP Support. They flat out refused to help me with the problem since the QLA4050C is a 3rd Party non-HP product.

QLogic support went a step further admitting the QLA4050C has known incompatibility problems with the DL360 G5 servers. They suggested requesting HP escalate the issue to release a BIOS update.

Anyone here from Proliant Support available to help?

Have you had any luck with this as of yet? I am a little concerned because I was planning on implementing QLogic 4062 HBA's in the same model server. I would like to know if it's going to be possible or not.

No luck so far. We are investigating other server vendors now.
