DL360 G5 w/ PCI fibre card?

I have a DL360G5 that is in need of a fibre card.

The device is currently in use in a POC project, so I want to do as little mucking with it as possible.

They need a fibre card in the DL360 G5 due to their expanding SQL database.

I have a PCI fibre card (Hewlett Packard Compaq StorageWorks (250176-001) Network Adapter), and would like to know that it is safe to use this device in the DL360 G5's PCIe full height slot.

Thank you,

Re: DL360 G5 w/ PCI fibre card?

The card that you have is a "64bit PCI" card and physically does not fit in a PCIe slot. PCI and PCIe are different bus types and are incompatible with each other.
