DL360 G6 Hang but not look like hang
Hi All,
I had a 2nd DL360 G6.
It all hardware look good and runinng it three days already!
But now I am have a special problems on it, I am hard to detect it is hardware error or setting or software bugs make it hang.
Here are my case on it.
Server 2012,
RDP enabled.
Full set HP management tools installed by HP SPP.
All BIOS, Firmware such as iLo, SAS, NIC etc all upgrade to latest already!
Server 2012 Patch to latest by Windows Updated!
The NIC can ping it okay, but when I login by mstsc to this IP, it pop up the login box for me to enter user name and password etc of course. But after enter the password, it just show me "Securing remote connection..." and then there forever .....
Since I also plug in the iLO2 on a switch with a IP on it, then I go to the iLO2 interface remote login. I see the locked screen, I press the HP iLO2 "Ctrl + Alt+ Del " button, but .... no response, both JAVA or IE version tried...
Anyone there using HP with Server 2012 have my case like that? How to fix it? It is hardware or software bugs?
Thank you of your time and help.
Best regards,
Jimmy Chan

Re: DL360 G6 Hang but not look like hang
Hi,
This issue is not hardware or software but could be some configuration issue.
Use notepad to edit the .rdp file and add the following:
enablecredsspsupport:i:0
See the below links:

Thank You!

Re: DL360 G6 Hang but not look like hang
Hi,
I go to the BIOS changed the CPU State to C1E look like can fix this.
Maybe like the DL360 G6 BIOS Release Noties, the bugs still in the latest BIOS.
If any HP staff there, please check this..

Re: DL360 G6 Hang but not look like hang
Hi Jimmy,
I'm seeing this exact same issue on all 7 of our DL380 G6 servers running 2012 data center core with HyperV. I will try changing the BIOS as you mention (fingers crossed).
thanks,
Ben
