Short update. We updated the server with the spp2018.06 but nothing changed.

Hi
this is a known issue, opened a support ticket and it took one month to eventually find someone who knew the answer !
in short you must DOWNGRADE the bios to version 2.42 to be able to successfuly update the SPS firmware.
otherwise , as others described, it runs in a loop and never completes.
you can upgrade back to the latest bios version once the firmware update is finished
