DL360 Gen 9
motherboard is lost power and unable to power on and also no status of LED .
We are decided to change motherboard. But the problem is server don't have any contoller card ,only have onboard AHCI SATA controller. Before the server failure , we configure software RAID 1 . So we are not sure the data is not loss when we replace the motherboard because of using onboard controller.
The question is if we change the motherboard, the data is surely have on the HDD or data loss?

SolutionNo matter if controller is onbboard or not, the RAID configuration is saved on the controller AND hard drives at the same time.
The new system board needs just a FW update and you most probably will need to enable RAID Support in RBSU. The existend RAID should be properly recognized without any dataloss.

The Smart Array RAID and array information is stored on each drive, but it is not stored in the controller. The controller reads the information at every boot.
