DL360 Migration

We are attempting to move from DL360 G2 to DL360 G3 servers. Both servers are using mirrored 72 GB drives, with Ultra320 drives in the G3. We want to take 1 Ultra320 from the new G3 server, place it into the old G2 sever to rebuild as part of the mirror set, then move it to the new G3 server and create a new server and mirror set in the G3. Will this work and any tricks to make it work?

Although not supported by HP, it can certainly work.
I've seen people doing it before.
You need to make sure your smart array controllers are compatible. If you're using the onboard SA5i controllers, you're safe there. There's not really a trick to it except for making sure YOU HAVE A DECENT BACKUP
