DL360 Smart Array Controller error after Firmware Update

I have just used the latest Firmware Maintenance cd on my Proliant and did an upgrade of the P21 Bios. I have never updated the bios before. Since then, my server will not boot. It hangs at the Smart Array Controller "Initializing" screen and after about 4 minutes it spits out an error: Slot 0 Array Controller Failure!
[Command Failure (cmd=11h, err= REQ FIFO NOT FREE )]
HELP!

Re: DL360 Smart Array Controller error after Firmware Update

I forgot to mention, I have replaced the Smart Array Controller Chip on the mainboard and still has the same error. I've taken the battery out, hard drives, memory with exception of 1 dimm, used offline ROMpaq firmware P21, used previous cd's of Firmware Maintenance with the "allow downgrade" option, and still nothing!

Re: DL360 Smart Array Controller error after Firmware Update

Do you remember what the firmware versions were prior to upgrade? Certain firmware upgrades need to be done in stages, for example smart raid may require 1.90 upgrade if the current version is 1.30 and the latest is 2.5x? You might try to clear nvram settings in RBSU/bios, when hard drives are unplugged (we don't want to loose the raid information).

Have you tried to reupgrade with offline firmware using Smartstart?
