DL360 & DL380 Servers on 3 Phase power
Hi,
We are updating our electrics and have installed new 32amp single phase circuits to each of our server racks, and attached them to new HPE PDUs.
Some of the new circuits are on the same electrical phase as the old circuits, so we have managed to move the dual powered servers to the new power without switching them off.
Some of the new circuits are on a different power phase to the old circuit. Is it possible to move one power cord from the old circuit (say Phase L1) to the new circuit (say Phase L2) and then move the second power cord over, so as to avoid shutting down the servers?
Kind regards.
Dan.

Re: DL360 & DL380 Servers on 3 Phase power
Hello Dan,
Greetings.
Make sure the Old & the New circuits do have required power to the Servers & the Servers do have dual power supplies installed. If there are no fluctuations on the power line to the servers, then you can move the power cords one by one to avoid shutting down the servers.
Thank you
Warm Regards.
