DL360 - very long booting time

Hi,

We have a backup software installed on DL360 with Win2k3 installed on with 2 LTO-3 streamers.

When booting, between post-bios messages and Windows 2003 splash screen, there is a very long delay. Disks in RAID are working but display is totally blank. After 10-20 minutes Windows 2003 boot splash screen appears. But it takes much time too - 3-5 minutes. Too long for me.

After logon it is impossible to view C:\ drive (all time processing) the same with Add/Remove programs list.

What can be a cause?

do you have same issue in safe mode?

you can try update everything firmware 8.0 / Proliant support pack 8.0

also clear NVRAM

BTW dl360 generation? G1? G2? ... G5?

as per above mentioned issue , plan of action is :

chk with the ilo2 , display is coming or not

keyboard led status ??

system board led status
with minimum h/w

update all the firmwares and bios with the latest one

try to boot with the os media direct and chk : is it taking so long there also or not

pleae update after all these activites
