DL360

Hello

I have a DL360 G2 that just went out of warranty, and now will not boot.

The Internal Health light is red.

The 4 dimm lights are amber.

I have reseated the memory, but thta does not change anything. With no memory in the system it still shows red on front and dimm sockets are amber.

Any ideas? Bad memory or board?

thanks
Matt

Re: DL360

If you have all memory leds lit, then there is likely a problem with either the system board or a processor. I'd recommend bringing to one processor (if there are two), then reseating it. If swapping the processor out doesn't resolve either, then the system board is likely at fault.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: DL360

Reseat the memory making sure that there's no dirt in the contacts. Take the system down to the minimum memory, then add a bank ata time. Reseat any other components and cables except the CPU as you don't want to disturb heatsink. Have you corrupted the firmware by any chance ? If so you may still be able to recover it, there's documentation available on that. Are you getting any POST/beep codes, anything on screen at all ?
