DL360G5 100MB only?

Hi,
I have 2 new DL360 G5 servers with Win 2003 R2 x64 SP2. Both are DCs (new domain). They are set to auto negotiate on both NICs. They show on my switch and server as 100M full.
I had the NICs in a team (200MB combined) and have since broken the team trying to troubleshoot.

They're still at 100MB. I have checked the switch and it is at Auto negotiate. I've tried swapping cables, switches, and have even confirmed the switch will run at 1GB (used a dc7600 to test).

I have installed the latest drivers/firmware patches (support pack 7.70A is my reference, repository server checks every 2 days).

Both DL360G5s are current, at the same OS, and have the same problem.

Is there a driver problem with 2003 R2 x64 SP2?

???
I have another DL360 G5 on my network and it is running full 1GB.
Differences - OS was installed, then SP1 installed, patches, and then SP2 installed.

All systems are at the same (latest) firmware and driver levels.

Re: DL360G5 100MB only?

We are running DL380 G3's & G4's and DL360 G4's on our network. We have had some problems using NIC's set to auto. It's always best to lock down speed on both Server and Switch. Some brands of switches don't always auto-sense correct speed.

Re: DL360G5 100MB only?

Force the switch ports to gig-duplex. I've had the experience when a switch port has been running at 100MB for a long time then you change the NIC to 1000MB the switch holds onto that 100MB setting unless you reboot the switch or force it to gig.

Re: DL360G5 100MB only?

It turns out we had a batch of miswired patch cables. Interestingly, the dc7600 would run at 1G with the bad cables but the DL360s wouldn't.
