DL360G5 / P400i and larg disks

Hello,

in the specs of the DL360G5 servers the largest supported disks are either 146GB SAS or 120GB SATA.

Is there a way to put in larger disks into these servers ?

In the DL160 series we can put in 2x500GB SATA and still have free bays for expansion in the future.

Re: DL360G5 / P400i and larg disks

Hello Andre,
The Drive capacity is more specific to the Controller rather than the server.
The quickspecs page of Dl360 G5 server has many controllers listed. If you look at the quickspecs of those controllers... E200 for ex ... it can support SATA drives of 750GB.

The Only Catch here is DL360 G5 has Small Form Factor bays(2.5") & the Large Capacity HDD are Large Form Factor(3.5").

Thanks a lot.

I did overlook that the DL160 has 3.5" bays :(

The disk form factor (2.5") is the "problem"
