DL360e G8 and HDD DG146BB976 not HPE
Hello!
I have an refurbished DL360e G8.
HP ProLiant DL360e G8, 1U, 2x Intel Octa Core Xeon E5-2450L 1.8 GHz-2.3GHz, 24GB DDR3 ECC Reg, 2x 146GB SAS/10k, Raid Controller HP SmartArray P420/1GB, iLO 4 Advanced
The haid has the newst FW
One HDD crashed (Was a Seagate ST9146802SS).
The HDD is a HP DG146BB976 (now with the newest firmware)
The problem is that in ILO I get this, and the LED on the caddy is dead after boot:
Physical Drive in Port 1I Box 1 Bay 3
- Status
info erasedModel DG146BB976 Media Type HDD Capacity 146 GB Location Port 1I Box 1 Bay 3 Firmware Version HPDF Drive Configuration Configured Encryption Status Not Encrypted
The HDD is new and seems to be working in a RAID array.
Should I worry?

Re: DL360e G8 and HDD DG146BB976 not HPE
Hello,
I hope you are doing well.
I would request you update the server with the latest bios & firmware because I observed so many issues resolved after updates. Hard disk caddy needs to be replaced If the issue still persists after updates.
I would request do not to use none-HPE components with the HPE servers.
