DL380 Boot problem
I have a raid controler that boots sometimes and then when you try restarting it trys to boot but then gives error message that raid controler is locked will disable until it is unlocked.
but if you leave it off for a day it will then boot back up.
this is on a 5i raid controler with windows 2000

Re: DL380 Boot problem
Frank:
Did you reciently update the bios on the controller?
Did you update the bios offline with a diskette or with SmartStart or did you do it "Online" from the O/S?
You may need to re-flash the controller with the bios, but use offline:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/20142.html
Use your Smart Start CD and select the ROM Maintenance. Then select "Supplemental Disk", then use disk.
Let us know if this clears the error? -john
