DL380 - Fan controller software

Hello eveyone,

I've got an older DL 380 G2 with 2 PIII 933s and 2Gig memory onboard. When setting the system up I had to use SmartStart 5.5 to load Windows 2000 Server and once that was up I reformatted the partition and installed 2003 Std. edition.

When 2000 was on it...SmartStart...I guess installed drivers for a system fan controller so that the case fan in the back of the server didn't run full RPM all the time. When I reformatted and installed 2003, that service was not installed or I just didn't install it.

I have both the SmartStart 5.5 and the latest release of SmartStart. How might I get this service onto this server? I don't want the fan to run at full speed all the time if it doesn't have to.

Install Proliant Support Pack for Windows 2003 from your latest Smart Start CD.
