DL380 G05 + Win2k3 SP1 + PSP7.60a = slow boot / acpitabl.dat

We've 4 Servers HP ProLiant DL380G05.
Both of the Server are installed with Win2k3 x86 and both of them with x64.

When the Servers are manually installed (without SS and PSP) the Server shows normal boot behavior.

When the Servers are installed wiht Smart Start or the PSP is installed after manual setup, the Server hangs during OS Boot.

We check the CLi Mode during Windows Boot and noticed, that the boot-procedure hangs when loading the 'acpitabl.dat'

We tried to deactivate all Agents, but we run into the same issue.

any ideas?
regards
Mike

Re: DL380 G05 + Win2k3 SP1 + PSP7.60a = slow boot / acpitabl.dat

We have similar problems with BL20p servers. We did not find any solutions. It already began with lower versions of the PSP. I suspect it began with 7.40. 7.50 or 7.60 did not help. Somewhat related is the fact the servers are domain controller. It seems if they are no domain controller, they boot a lot faster.

I would be very interested if someone had a solution for this.

Thanks.

Bart.

Bart,

i found several hints in case of servers which are configured as domaincontroller.

May HBA or Storeportdriver cause the issue ..
we investigate the possebilities

may u've also a look at the following thread
