DL380 G1 Deploy

We have our old DL380 sitting in our rack. I wanted to use it, but I cant get pass configuring the new SCSI drives.

I bought the SmartStart software cds, but it doesnt work for this model. I'm too embarrassed to ask our it guy to come back and walk me through installing an OS for this unit.

Where can I find the old skool way of setting up SCSI drives for Windows OS.

Smart 7.60 i think

I think I got it..
Step 1) is to get a driver for Integrated Smart Array from Compaq.

Step 2) load the driver during setup via F6

The problem is that HP really hides this driver and Windows wants it a special format...txtsetup.oem

After some hair pulling

has the file which you can extract to a floppy and load it during the F6 setup stage

NOW...
without smart start I never setup up the RAID and drive settings... whats good for a file server...

well so you already loaded windows right?

because the smartstart CD for that server is 5.5
