DL380 G10 with the 6+2 NVMe Cage

Hi,

A customer has a DL380 G10 8SFF with Dual 10 core procs, 64Gb, iLo Advanced, Dual PSU, the Premium 6+2 NVMe cage in bay 3, the 1 port 2NVMe SlimSAS Riser in the primary location. For some reason they cannot view the NVMe 2.5inch ssd's. Cabling as per the user guide, pic attached.

How does one enable NVMe? This hidden in the Systems Configuration?

Regards,

Re: DL380 G10 with the 6+2 NVMe Cage

Hi,

Just check the DL380 Gen10 QuickSpecs for NVMe compatibility.
Please check the NVMe compatibility and other configuration requirements.
NOTE: For support of the 2 NVMe drives this will require the addition of the HPE DL38X Gen10 x8/x8/x8 1-port 2 NVMe SlimSAS Riser (867806-B21); or the HPE DL38X Gen10 2-port 4 NVMe SlimSAS Riser (867808-B21).
NOTE: NVMe drives require the addition of the High Performance Fan kit (867810-B21).

Re: DL380 G10 with the 6+2 NVMe Cage

HPE Technician has gone to the customers site, problem solved, premium cage backplane wasn't being friendly, replaced the cage and now the 2.5inch NVMe ssd's can be seen.
