DL380 G2 Setup Problem

Hi,
i acquired a DL380 G2, however i have the following problems:

- with smartstart 5.5 the system reboots after choosing the "OS" for deployment.
- with smartstart 7x i got the error that no drives are found.

i have removed the 5i RAID to isolate problems, but still i have the same issues. Disks are working fine in another system.

Any ideas to go further for testing ?

How did you remove the 5i, it's integrated? I'd go back and create the array using the 5i and then just boot from a standard distro. What OS are you trying to put onto it?

I did remove the 5i from the board and Switched SW1 to ON/ON to ignore errors.

i need to find a smartstart 6.x to try but surely give it a try.

my current assumption is that either the SCSI backplane is broken or the wiring somehow.

but it could be anything.
