due to the fact the onboard nics on a dl380 g2 are 10/100 mbit we tried to install a HP nc7170 dual nic pci-64 adapter. We tried different PCI-postitions but we've lost the ps/2 port mouse function. Unacceptable!
in F9-setup we disabled the onboard nics but this does not solve it.
potential solutions already tried:
- firmware upgrade DL380
- new drivers for NC7170
we've been working on this one for half a day now.. please advise..

Solution
The reason for that may be very simple - this NIC is not supported in the DL380 G2:

Re: DL380 G2 lost mouse function when installing NC7170
Okay, thanks for that info, that clears it all for me.
but still, the mouse support is unavailable, even now when I removed the NC7170.
very strange, the device manager does not even display it. when I choose the 'view device by connection' mode it shows a mouse driver installed at IRQ 12, stating it is working properly..
everything is put back to where it was this morning, still no solution.
had somebody experienced this type of problem before?
