Re: DL380 G3 Auto-turn on
Question regards to Auto-turn ON , when power fails,..?
some Questions also for you to consider?
when power returns if the server has Crash due some hardware failure server doesn't come up.?
someone should eye -ball onsite , i mean the Data Center Operators..?
or best thing to approach for "Console access" by assing a "Static IP" for all you server's via Network so that you may gain Console access when power returns. well the ILO implemented would better with web-console access,
Thx,
Johnson

Re: DL380 G3 Auto-turn on
The servers have static IP addresses, so I can view the logs remotely.
The question is, is there a BIOS parameter or motherboard switch that I can set to turn the server on automatically, when the power returns?

Re: DL380 G3 Auto-turn on
I suppose your server don't have ilo enable
anyway
there is an option on RSBU (BIOS).
- Server Availability
- Automatic Power On
- Enable
"Automatic Power-On
The Automatic Power-On feature enables the server to automatically power on when auxiliary power is applied to the server."
also if you have ilo you can enable it on power management
bye
