DL380 G3 Compaq Processor driver issue
Running Win2K and t/s a cpu problem. I changed the processor driver from ACPI to the Compaq 100% compatible driver. The system continuously gets hung on the Starting Windows page. Tried Recovery disc, all safe mades and a few other things and have had no luck. Just rebuilt the system, but am looking for answers. Any ideas???

Re: DL380 G3 Compaq Processor driver issue
Only thing you can do now, is recovery mode and try and remove the drive you installed. Just delete it if you have names.

Re: DL380 G3 Compaq Processor driver issue
I tried recovery mode and for some reason the system does not see any logical drives. However, when the controller is initializing it finds three logical drives. I have been in the habit of not running backups becasue Compaq makes it so easy to rebuild a system. So, I did a rebuild last night. I was running raid 1 and should have yanked out one of the drives before trying this.....bonehead mistake. Learn by your mistakes, so I know better next time. Thanks a bunch
