DL380 G3 Latest Support pack Video problems

The above mentioned server will not boot when applying the latest video drivers contained in the support pack. When booted with last known good config it does boot but gives limited video resolution 800x600 16 colours.


Anybody any ideas?

what is the operating system?
do u have pcanywhere instaleld in the server?

OS is Windows 2000 Server SP4 and No PC anywhere is not installed.

This problem only arose after I applied the latest Support pack.

Was working fine until I appled it.

Ross,

Try applying the driver itself from the following link, rather than the full PSP. The video chipset on the DL380-G3 is an ATI RAGE XL with 8Mb ram .

Thanks Brian,

I sould have been more specific.

I have tried that but when it reboots it just blue screens again.

The reboots when selecting last known good config.

I have also re applied SP4 just incase something was corrupt and then reapplied the PSP.

Was considering download the ATI driver from the ATI site rather then HP to see if this made any difference. Also tried applying the old vode driver but still the same.
