Think the hot swap expansion bay is interchangeable between the G3 and G4?

Along it might looks identical, I donâ t think it will do work, Sys board chipset not designed to support it

PCI-X is PCI Extended
PCX is PCI Express

They do not use the same architecture.

PCI Express is a switch based PCI architecture compared to PCI/PCI-X wich is a common bus.

So the DL380G3 wont cut it :P

But I was thinking along the same line ... im getting a few DL380G4's in. SO i was thinking if i boot them from my XP512 with two new display cards in PCX .... mmm tempting.
