DL380 G3 Raid 5 Disk Replacement
I'm running a stand-alone DL380 G3 with a 5i controller, Raid 5 with five 73GB SCSI U320 drives online. There were 6 but one completely failed. I received the replacement drive today.
The DL380 is running Windows 2003 R2 Server Standard. I have the SmartStart CD with its ACU routines, but nothing else. For some reason I can't get the Windows-based ACU to run.
I can't seem to find any instructions on how to proceed. Do I just insert the new drive and the firmware 5i controller takes care of the rest (i.e., formats if necessary and then rebuilds)?
Since the Windows-based ACU isn't working, I won't have any visibility into the progress of the rebuild.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: DL380 G3 Raid 5 Disk Replacement
I inserted the new drive and it was successfully rebuilt.
I also found some missing programs on the SmartStart CD and installed them on my system and now I can run the ACU. It reports all is well.
