DL380 G3 Resource Conflicts

We have just bought a new DL380 G4 server (dual 3.6GHz, 2Gb Mem). Before putting this server into production, we run SQLIOStress test for a few days to make sure everything is OK. The resulting tests have shown that we have a number of memory resource conflicts. Should I be worrying about this? The server is a vanilla install of W2K3, with the latest BIOS.

Thanks

Re: DL380 G3 Resource Conflicts

It sounds like crisis everywhere, where it could be entirely not accurate. Once again G4 Server they are new and they use dissimilar Technologies and chipset in architecture. Is SQLIO Stress designed to support G4 servers?

Re: DL380 G3 Resource Conflicts

It may well be the case that SQLIOStress isn't fully supportive of the G4 server. However, these conflicts are visible when looking at Device Manager.

We have three G4 servers, one is a single processor and does not exhibit any conflicts, the others are both dual processors and both have the same conflicts.

I'm attempting to track down a bigger problem with disk corruption (support tickets open with both MS and HP), these conflicts are one area of investigation.

We happen to have a DL380 G3 with quad 3.2Ghz and have many of the same conflicts listed here, I wonder if it has to do the the multiprocessor aspect.

Re: DL380 G3 Resource Conflicts

How does it go with your disk corruption problem?

I have an DL 380 G4 with SQL7 on it and have some troubel with data corruption.
