DL380 G3 -> Solaris 10

Hello - I have been trying to install solaris 10 on DL380 G3 machine and everytime It comes out with an error saying 'No disks found' during installation. I have learnt from many posts that - this is due to driver's unavailability on HP machine and I am suppose to install CPQary3-1.60-solaris10-i386.tar.gz but unable to locate this driver on any of HP site.

Would you have an idea?

Thank you

Re: DL380 G3 -> Solaris 10

Take a look at http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/software/solaris/index.html

There is a link to the Solaris Deployment guide along with other information about running Solaris x86 on ProLiant.

According to the support matrix a DL380 G3 is not supported for Solaris 10 only 8 and 9. That being said, you might try downloading the disk driver for a DL380 G4, since both are Smart Array controllers you might be able to make it work.
